But the Manager Says It’s the Best Thing They’ve Ever Done”

A neighborhood bar in Philadelphia has gone viral after locals noticed a bold new sign taped to its front door — one that many called offensive, while others hailed it as brutally honest.

The sign, partially hidden behind glare, reads:

“IF YOU’RE NOT GOING TO BE AN ADULT, DO NOT BOTHER COMING IN.”

At first, people thought it was a joke. But the bar’s manager confirmed it’s 100% real — and claims it’s saving their business.

“We were tired of people coming in drunk, starting fights, or arguing with the staff,” he said. “This sign filters out the nonsense. Since we put it up, our nights have been calmer, and our regulars actually love it.

Some residents, however, weren’t amused. One passerby said, “It’s rude and unprofessional. A business shouldn’t insult potential customers.”

But others called it “refreshing honesty.”
“I wish more places had the guts to say what everyone’s thinking,” one commenter wrote.

Love it or hate it, the sign is doing exactly what it was meant to — getting attention. And as the manager proudly put it, “If you’re easily offended, you’re probably not our kind of crowd.”
