The Mistress Who Thought She Won — Until Karma Knocked on Her Door

I was a mistress to a married man. It started as a game, a challenge I thought I could win. He was devoted to his wife, and that made me want him even more. I studied her — the way she talked, dressed, even the color of her hair. Eventually, I dyed mine the same shade, hoping he’d see me as the “better version.”

For two years, I tried everything. And then, one day, it worked. He left his wife, his children, and his home… all for me. I felt powerful. I thought I had won.

He was obsessed — calling me constantly, showing up at work, showering me with gifts. But soon, that obsession became suffocating. The charm that once thrilled me turned into control. The same intensity that made me feel wanted now made me feel trapped.

And then, as if out of nowhere, I got sick. My hair started falling out, I lost weight, and I was always exhausted. Doctor after doctor — no answers. One evening, I saw his ex-wife’s photo online. She looked radiant. Healthy. At peace.

It hit me like a thunderbolt. He had taken everything from her, and now it felt like life was taking something from me.

That’s when I realized: I hadn’t “won.” I had simply taken her place in a losing game.

Karma doesn’t always arrive quickly — but when it does, it knows exactly where to find you.
