I never thought I’d end up in a situation like this. I met him at a work event — charming, kind, and attentive in ways I hadn’t experienced before. He told me he was separated, that his marriage was over long before I came along. By our second date, he said he loved me and wanted to build a future together. I believed him. I truly did.
A few months later, I found out I was pregnant. When I told him, his face changed — that confident, loving man suddenly turned pale. He promised he’d take care of everything, that we’d “figure it out together.” But days turned into weeks, and his calls became less frequent. I could feel him slipping away.
