I Tried the “Banana Peel Water” Trend — and I Was NOT Ready

I’m not the type to fall for weird health hacks, but after scrolling past video after video claiming banana peel tea helps with sleep, stress, and bloating, curiosity won.

So one night, I peeled a banana, dropped the peel into boiling water, let it simmer, strained it, and drank one cup before bed.

Just boiled banana peel water. Nothing added. Nothing fancy.

Here’s what happened — in just 3 days.


Night 1

I expected nothing. Honestly, I thought it would taste gross. But it was mild and slightly sweet. The surprising part?

I fell asleep faster than usual.

Not knocked out — just calm. My mind wasn’t racing like it normally does. I didn’t toss and turn. I woke up thinking:

“Okay… interesting.”


Night 2

The second night was different.

I slept deeper. No 3 AM wake-ups. No scrolling on my phone. And when morning hit, I didn’t feel groggy — I actually felt rested.

Even stranger, I wasn’t craving late-night snacks like I usually do. My stomach felt lighter, less bloated.

Coincidence? Maybe. But I kept going.


Night 3

This was the night that convinced me.

I drank the banana peel water, crawled into bed, and within minutes felt this wave of relaxation — like my body finally “shut off.” I woke up the next morning shocked:
